Swiss average (FSO HBS 2023)
16.8%
What counts as saving? Monthly savings includes anything you deliberately set aside: bank transfers to savings, investment contributions, Pillar 3a deposits, and voluntary pension top-ups. Regular debt repayments beyond minimums also count. The Swiss average of 16.8% of gross income is from the FSO Household Budget Survey 2023.
These results are benchmarks for general orientation only. Wealth and savings are highly personal and depend on many factors this tool cannot capture: inheritance, property values, self-employment income, family circumstances, and personal goals. Being above or below the median is not inherently good or bad. Use this as a starting point for reflection, not a judgment. Always consult a qualified financial adviser for personalised guidance.
